Hi, I'm Jenny. I've been a photojournalist for a decade working on stories for National Geographic, Vox, HuffPost, The Pulitzer Center, The Nature Conservancy, and others.
What does this have to do with weddings and elopements? As a storyteller and journalist, I'm trained to document emotion, to anticipate the action, and photograph things as they happen - no posing, no do-overs. You should spend your big day immersed in your partner and your friends and family, not away from your guests posing for photos.
Photojournalists are stealthy - you may forget I'm there! But at the end of the day, you'll have a beautiful visual narrative that tells the story of your wedding day: the joy, tears, love, and little moments. My images will make you feel something when you look at them - they are authentic, candid, unposed, genuine, and emotional. Were are you located?
I'm based near Boston but am available worldwide. I've spent the past 10 years largely living out of a suitcase for other reporting projects so lugging all of my camera gear to the special place you picked out is just part of the job!
What gear do you use?
I photograph with a Canon R5 and a range of Canon L series lenses from 15mm (wide) to 500mm (zoom). Drone photography and videography is available with a second photographer (my lifetime +1 Ian Segebarth).
What are your rates?
Coming from the conservation and photojournalism world, wedding photography seems astronomically expensive. I want to change that. My rates for weddings and elopements start at $2,500. Engagement shoots start at $1,500. Send me a message!
Help, I'm nervous to be photographed!
I also don't really like being photographed, so I totally get it! This is why I LOVE photographing couples in their element. You'll forget I'm even there. Do you enjoy diving, hiking, paddling, or skateboarding together?? Let's set up a fun shoot where you and your partner are doing "your thing" together - being in front of the camera will feel effortless.
